Today was watermania day!!! At first I thought I would be late, but I actually waited for a long time at school which was good. The bus ride wasn't that fun, unlike a lot of other bus rides I've been on to field trips =]. While we were in the pool we went on the waterslides, and played piggies (guys) in the middle with a ball in the wave pool. Then we moved to the normal pool and played volleyball which didn't work out that well, then water polo and again in a different place and then marco polo. Then we went to the diving boards but the highest one wasn't opened which really sucked. My friends lost their goggles and rubber things that were supposed to be in the goggles in the deep end, and we looked for them by playing the game "Finding their goggles". It was really fun. I picked up the rubber things but no one could even see the goggles. We mistaked random circles in the bottom of the pool as the goggles, since no one could go down that easily other than me so they just guessed which one it was. Going down was very painful since it was a very deep pool. We were only there for 2 hours, so it passed very quickly especially since we put most of our time into "Finding their goggles". The bus ride back was slightly more fun than the one there, but still not that fun. During lunch we left our friend to watch our lunchbags to try to get free candy in the cafeteria. Since there wasn't much space in there to watch the halloween dressup thing we watched it at the stairs which was still really fun except we couldn't get any candy through the glass. There were tons of people who showed their costumes and it was very fun to watch. A group of guys imitating Jabbowockeez were the most entertaining. We ended up staying there for a very long time and the person who was watching our lunch bags eventually came to see why we took so long. During math we relearned the section we learned last class which was completely pointless because of the lack of thinking needed in the section. We had a test on it afterwards and then had free time which wasn't that fun since I had no one to talk to in the grade 11 class. I decided not to do recycling because I was so tired from swimming and even more tired from listening to math and there wasn't anyone there that would make it entertaining. I'm not going trick-or-treating today sadly since I have no one to go with, but I'm probably going to fright nights tomorrow which I am REALLY looking forward to since I'll see my old friends again and it'll probably be very fun even though I heard it was cheesily unscary. Today I'll cram to study for chinese since I have a midterm tomorrow hich I haven't studied for yet and work on the small amount of homework I have on Sunday since I will be very busy on Saturday for both fun and unfun things.

I've been looking through a bunch of blogs, and I realized everyone else's were SUPER long and SUPER informal and SUPER insightful. I felt like they were being directed to another kid who had the patience to read that much. Most of the blogs I read were very pessimistic and seemed like everyone was stressing out, making me feel better since I can handle my work without falling apart (ish). My technique of procrastination is working! But I doubt it will for a long time.
Today was fun since we didn't do much because of Halloween tomorrow which I am still sad about for not doing anything Halloweenie. In applied skills I sat around watching people trying to finish their orthographic drawings and attempting to focus to study for science. I didn't actually get around to studying that much but it was ok since the test was extremely easy. It was true or false questions, multiple choice questions, fill in the blanks questions, and short answer questions. I was so happy to get that kind of test. We had a substitute who was very nice. In the middle of it, there was a fire alarm, which was fun although I don't think it was supposed to be. We tried to keep our tempts of discussing the questions on our test from taking over us, and it worked... for the most part =]. When we were allowed to go in the bell rang again causing confusion, hesitation, and entertainment for the rest. At lunchtime I did a book test on Harry Potter 3, and I don't know what I will do when I finish the series. I decided not to do another one, and instead signed up for a sophisticated book, To Kill a Mockingbird. I just realized blogger autosaves the blog every minute which is very annoying but I guess it's for my good. In English we presented our symbols and my friend forgot her symbol and decided to copy me by using her phone. Well actually she thought of it herself but I like to frame people about things they didn't do. I know, I'm not that nice. That took up most of the class, and then at the end of class I suggested to Ms. Greskiw to give us candy for Halloween which was very smart. In Socials there was this spider thing that would fall down if we clapped, so we decided to put a person on the bottom for the spider to fall on, but that person was too manly so he didn't scream like a girl. We worked in our workbooks again which is getting tedious and boring, not like it wasn't ever, but it is getting extravagant. After that we watched The Simpsons which was fun. I didn't go to the dance since I didn't really want to and I didn't really buy a ticket either.
Today I will finish most of my middle years funwork or maybe all of it and then I will work on my chinese veryveryunfunwork which I hope I will finish today.

Yesterday I decided to switch from msn spaces blogging to blogger which was good since I won't be embarrassed by all the childish remarks I made in everywhere else in the space when someone sees it. During art today we worked on our group project which we couldn't finish very soon so we had to stay in at lunch to work on it. In pe we played basketball again which was not too bad but still far more boring than other sports. My friend also told me that he might come to middle years which is exciting. At lunch I worked on my art project while getting my friend to test me on science and at the end my partners went to change for pe and never came back so I was late for french while cleaning up by myself, and my french teacher decided to keep me out there and make "funny" faces through the window which was very scary and not funny either. We had to copy a bunch of stuff again which I finished pretty early so I decided to do my english homework behind a raised french textbook since she didn't allow some other person in my class to read the english textbook. In math we had free time for the last 30 minutes since our teacher finished teaching early, so I decided to finish up my english homework. Today I have to study for science so that's what I will do and then I will start on my chinese essay.
I prefer not to have any more middle years classes, especially not pe since I feel pe is a time to relax and excercise off any stress, and if there is thinking put into that, then I think it won't take any stress off. Also, having 4 middle years classes is already pretty hard to manage.

Today I had applied skills where I worked on my orthographic sheet which I am very close to finished. In science we reviewed for our chapter test this thursday. In english we had a quiz and got our essays back and I did pretty badly with a 15/20. We worked in our workbook during socials which was boring, but at least we didn't get too much homework from it. This week is a horrible week, considering it's a holiday week. I have a science chapter test, chinese midterm test, a bunch of scouts things to work on, an applied skills test, and a ton of homework which might be ok on a normal week, but this week I'd also like to do something for halloween which is one of my favorite holidays but I never do anything about it. I doubt I will get to do anything anyways other than going to watermania this friday which I am really looking forward to. Today I will do my english and socials homework and study for science.

Today was day 1 so I had art first period. We worked on our group project again and had lots of suggestions from the substitute. In pe we had our field hockey written test which I studied for 10 minutes for, so I probably asian failed it badly. French was boring since our teacher had a sore throat and we had to copy down a bunch of things from our textbook. In math we had a test after learning a new section. Today I will finish my middle years homework.

I was at camp for the past 2 days so I didn't blog. On Friday I left for camp and when I got there I had to set up our tents in the rain. Then we started dinner for which we cooked Chunky's. We played a manhunt game and then had a pumpkin carving competition which we won. Our pumpkin was a sick pumpkin throwing up. We then played a game where we gave hints to a person about a word which they couldn't see and they'd have to guess it. We ate a lot of cookies, and after a patrol leader and assistant patrol leader meeting at night, we started singing really loudly and probably woke up a lot of people who were trying to sleep. I woke up at 7:00 on saturday morning to set up the flagpole and spent at least an hour doing so since I had to do it myself. Then I ate a quick breakfast and went to the ceremony to raise the flag and this time I didn't screw up while doing so. After we had many sessions where our leaders taught us how to use basic equipment (directed to new members) and it was very boring. Lunch was udon with meat/fishballs which took much more effort to make than I thought it would. After lunch we had an "Amazing Race" which was fun until I stepped into a puddle of manure. Then it wasn’t as fun. After dinner, which was udon again and pork chops which took very long to cook. We had a lot of things to cook after dinner. After dinner we had a campfire which was not as fun as campfires before since I didn’t have a proper seat. We had a night hike after that, and then went to sleep. On Sunday we had scouts’ own which I planned. We went home at 11 and everyone was happy since they would receive plumbing soon. When I got home I worked on some middle years work.

Today was middle years day and I finished 6 boxes in a period. In science we checked out our gummy bear lab on which I predicted gummy bears would not absorb any water, but they actually grew at least double in size. In english we marked more worksheets and did a presentation on questions we were assigned to answer. During socials we had an easy test and then played a jeopardy like game. Today I will finish some of my m.y. homework since I only have today and tomorrow to do so and a bit of sunday because i'm going on a camp.

Today was day 1 so everything was easy and relaxed. I had art where I finished an individual piece which I really liked, and then started in a group project which we didn't even start on until 30 minutes of discussion (loud argument). There was a very artsy person in our group who was very organized and decided to not start on anything until we agreed on an idea which probably wouldn't have happened that fast if the other people in our group didn't just start working. At the end we had a very good idea but it kind of defied the purpose of the project. In pe we had a field hockey skills test on which I got 17/18 which was nice since I got 3.5/5 last time I had a test, but I was mad for losing that one mark since I missed the goal by 10 cm. I presented my weather forecast skit during french, and the usual events happened: the teacher decided to pick on a thing she never made clear, other students who weren't being picked on decided to pick on the fact she never picked on it, eventually leading to a cheesy lecture about irresponsible students who decide to do badly in class. In math I got to skip the last 30 minutes to go to cross country which I was very thankful for, although cross country was painful as well but in a more beneficial way. Today I finished my science lab report and will skim through socials again and then work on my applied skills drawing which I am far from done.

Today was m.y. day and in applied skills we went to an assembly which started off interesting, but at the end it got very boring. In science I got my science fair project approved and got an improved mark by 3 marks as well. We had a test on which I did ok on since I didn't study. In english we marked some work and finished our set of questions. I did my current events in socials and I was very nervous about it, though I did alright. Today I plan to study for socials and some m.y. homework.

Today in art I almost finished my silhouette project which I will finish next class. In pe it was raining so we got to stay inside and play soccer, which was not necessarily a good thing since I received 2 skin burns. In french, we practiced our weather skits for 10 minutes and then had one of the most normal classes we've ever had. We didn't do any math during math class, since our teacher decided to talk to us about matters we weren't usually able to openly talk about, so it was interesting mostly because we didn't do any work. Today I will finish up my m.y. homework due tomorrow and some science lab work.

Today I didn't have violin class again and slept in late again. My mom dropped off some stuff at my fellow scout's house for the upcoming camp next week. I finished my cell analogy sheet and current events, and I also worked on some scout stuff which I was in charge of. I then played violin.

Today I had chinese school where we were supposed to have 2 tests but we ran out of time, and I don't think our teacher really noticed we missed it either. In scouts I did some badge testing and finished requirements to help me get my chief scout. After that I practiced violin a bit and did some m.y. homework. Tomorrow I will do my current events for socials and I'll also finish up my cell analogy.

Today I was supposed to draw a view of my paper model, but I tried to make it very perfect and didn't get very far. In science we did a lab which was kind of fun. I got a bad mark on my english paper since the teacher didn't think it made sense, but I got to redo it. After in socials we marked our workbook and got assigned another page. Today I plan to do some of my middle years homework and then study for chinese.

Today in art I finished my project and then started working on a new project, and my progress was pretty good. In pe we had field hockey again and I stepped into 3-4 puddles. I then did my field hockey test and I got 3.5/5 while almost everyone else got 4 and one person got 5. In french we practiced our weather forecasting skit which is to be memorized by wednesday. Math was boring since the teacher taught us a little and then we had to do 7 long math questions. Today I will finish all my m.y. homework.

Today in applied skills we were assigned to create a paper model which seemed fun. I decided to make the statue of liberty and I finished it already. Then, in science I saw my mark which was still a B, but I improved from 80.2 to 84.8, which isn't that pleasing but at least I improved. When I said that to my classmates they said I was too optimistic :). I also didn't get my science fair project approved which was annoying but it meant I did well on all my other projects to give me an improved mark. In English, we had a test which was the hardest test I've ever done in English. Then in socials we did one of the easiest tests we've had there, but I still had one error. After school I decided not to go to cross-country since I had a lot of homework. At home I already finished my science proposal, statue of liberty paper model and socials homework, and I will finish my english vocab sheet today as well. Then I will study for my chinese test on saturday :(.

Today I started off in art class where my teacher showed the whole class everyone's collages and many people laughed at mine for having a little leprechaun in the corner. After that we got our sketchbooks back and I received a B, which might not have been surprising, but I was still not very satisfied. At least that mark didn't include my best works. Then we had pe where we played field hockey which is very tiring so we won our first game and lost our second. In french we had to write a weather channel play which was boring. Then, in math, I had my midterm and decided not to do the photo retake. I got 21/24 on my midterm which was a very low A but I was still unhappy but it was a good mark considering I didn't study too much. Today I will finish my french project and study for english and socials again and then try studying for chinese.

I did some chinese homework, and tried to study, but it was very hard to understand so I decided to study tomorrow :). Today I was a middle years day, so I started off with applied skills where I handed in my paris drawing and robot sketchup. I also finished up my science project proposal during that time, which is about whether you get distracted more by listening to noise or music. It will be fun to work on but i'm just not very sure it will give a high mark. During that time I also studied for our english test and my book test during lunch. In science we took notes about how to take notes and then took notes on a sample which would help our note-taking skills. It was rather boring. After, we had to learn about the parts of a cell since there would be a test on it next friday. During english, we had a test with some of the answers on the board which our teacher did not notice until someone pointed it out to her (neither did I). After that, I took a book test during lunch which was very easy because it was on the first harry potter book. In socials, we got our tests back and watched a video about earth. Today I finished my science homework and started on my english homework.

Today I had art where we worked on a collage where we painted glue over tissue paper which was pretty fun. In pe I hurt my knee while running (again) since I hurt it a few days ago while running to school with an extremely heavy backpack loaded with middle years stuff. In french someone closed the door and locked the teacher out and got in very much trouble. I also presented my skit which went ok. We learned one section in math and then had the rest of the period to work on anything we wanted to work on, so I worked on my science fair proposal (meaning I have an idea :]). Today I will finish up my science fair proposal and applied skills homework.

Today I woke up earlier so I got to school on time. We had work time to work on our sketchups and paris drawings, and I worked on my paris drawing which is almost done now. In science we had a very easy microscope quiz and also worked on a few worksheets. I still don't have a very clear idea of what I should do for my science fair, which isn't good since the proposal is due on Friday. We reviewed our homework during english and did worksheets in groups and our group finished second. There is an english test next class which really adds on to the pile of work we have already. In socials we had a test and we had our next test postponed to wednesday which was a relief. Tonight I will try to find out my science fair topic and work on my paris drawing.

Today I started with art where I had a substitute. We worked on our old school new school project and also got assigned a bookmark project. In pe I ran langara and I got 13:01 which is 2 seconds away from getting an A. In french we didn't do very much, working on our skits which was surprisingly hard. In math we did a practice chapter test which I got perfect on. I also found out my math mark so far which was 100 so I was happy since it would even out my science mark. In english, we reviewed our homework and that was basically it (english always passes by the fastest). After that, my brother unwillingly went to swimming class, so I was home alone. Today I had art class when we worked on our old school new school project, and I almost finished my drawing, which was surprisingly good since it was very bad when I started it. I did pretty good in field hockey today and my classmate complimented me as being pretty good for a person who has never played before. In french, we worked on how to tell time and the dates of special occasions. During math, I asked about any bonus math material I could work on, and I took a math contest that my teacher suggested. After school, I went to recycling and received another service point, and I was happy to hear that next week we would get treats. Today I had applied skills, and we watched a video on paris and it's architecture which was pretty interesting. I realised i had to do a drawing on paris which wasn't fun to realize, but thankfully I don't have to do sketchup on it. My robot which I have to do sketchup on is 2-d and it is really messy so that won't be very fun to work on. In science, I realised I have a low B so far, so I am really going to work hard in science now. We conducted a lab about yeast, sand, and apple juice which was a lot more fun than sitting in class taking notes. I still have no idea what I should do for my science fair, but I'd like to do something easy that will also give me a high mark. During english, we went to the library which was fun, and I borrowed the hobbit, which I already read before but forgot what happened in it (that's why I failed my book test for it). We didn't do much during socials, we just read about navigation which was very basic, and then watched a video which had nothing to do with social studies since we were very hyper that time. After school I wanted to go to the grade 8 mixer dance for the food, but then I was told we had to stay there for the whole time and participate in the activities, so I went home instead.Tonight I will finish reviewing the math I missed yesterday, and work on science and english homework.Today I was helpful by helping my friend carry her books while we went home since she was too lazy.

Today was a collaborative day so I woke up 1 hour later. During art, we worked on our "old school new school" project where we draw comparisons between our old school and new school, and I struggled to find something special about my old school because it was quite a normal school. I also made a trade of robots with someone during art. Surprisingly, I find applied skills more helpful to my art than art class. In pe we did field hockey again which was very hot and painful. We had another french substitute which was fun, but we didn't do anything different today. In math, I skipped the last 45 minutes so I could go to cross country at quilchena. I was especially unfit today, and I couldn't really run so I had to walk part of it, so I ended up 4th last. Tonight I will finish the science graphing sheet and english and look over the math I missed today.Today Vanessa Lee in my middle years class was very nice when she lent me two bus tickets to get to quilchena.

We also switched our robots so we could do a sketchup on each other's, but no one wanted to trade with me because mine was really complicated to make. In science, we discussed more about the science fair and worked on a graphing worksheet. In english, we had a test and our teacher got very frustrated with us because we kept asking questions. In socials, we had another debate but I was very tired so I didn't say as much as last time. I eventually did wake up, and went to chinese school which wasn't that bad because I thought there would be a test. After school, I saw my friend from french class. During scouts, I had to make the flag and raise it then lower it, and I was very very unprofessional, taking an extremely long time and looking very dumb (i think). Today I also had my violin fixed (because I almost broke it yesterday) and I practised with it and it sounded better than before. I didn't do much homework today, because I did much homework for the last two days, and I will finish all homework tomorrow.

Today I got a signature from art class for my field trip form which I handed in during second block, p.e. During p.e., we did the other part of the fitness test, 6 laps around the oval track. I got 11:26, which was faster than some people, but still there were many in front of me with very good times. If I had gotten faster than 9 minutes (which would be the school record), then my friend would've bought me sushi, which was a great motivation for me to run fast until I realized on my second last lap I had already spent 9:33. After that, I went to french class, where we learned numbers, and math in french. I had a very short test during math, after we reviewed what was on the test and the new material which was to be taught at that lesson. I finished my chinese homework today, and also my english homework and some of my science homework.

Today during applied skills, we had more time to work on our magic tree assignment. During science, we had a very strict substitute, and we had to take many notes which was very painful because I felt sick. In English, we had a vocabulary quiz which apparently didn't count for marks. We also watched more of the movie we started last class. During socials, we had a debate which was very fun, but we also realised we had a test next monday. I will try to finish most of my m.y. homework today so i can have a relaxing weekend.

Today, during art, we had some independent art time and drew man made patterns, and I drew my shoes. During p.e., we had our fitness test, and I didn't do that badly as I anticipated I would, but I felt sort of sick after that. During french, we watched a video of adam sandler making fun of a french class on saturday night live. During math, we had a test which was very easy. Today I have no homework, but I still have to work on my m.y. homework, which I will finish today.

Today I started off in applied skills and again we had free time to work on our magic tree assignment, and I worked on my drawing, as well as going around looking at all the great projects everyone else had done, or helping with the people who haven't even started. During science, we received a worksheet which we worked through, and during lunch, we had a fire alarm so we were just on time for english. We watched part of a movie in english after marking vocabulary sheets and answering questions about shakespeare. In socials, we did more geography, and also received a handout about bottled water. Today I plan to finish art and french homework and do a bit of M.Y. homework.

Today I had my photo taken, and I think I looked very bad in it. I felt very dumb posing with my head tilted so far. We had to draw change in things during art, where our teacher showed us a 5 year old dried pepper. There was not much action during P.E., because we spent most of the time talking about our fitness test on wednesday, and also got a field trip on halloween to watermania. I am very nervous for the fitness test, and I hope I do well on it. In french class, we read the textbook again and was assigned to write another skit. Math class passed very quickly today, but I don't know why. We had no homework, so that was very nice. I will try to finish my magic tree assignment (by hand) today, and start on my art project. I will also have to do my chinese homework and practise violin, both which I do not enjoy doing.

This morning, I had a violin lesson, and my old classmate was right before me, and she was very excited to see me. Today was moon festival day, so we celebrated with homemade hot pot, which tasted really good. I almost finished my english homework, and still need to color the magic tree project. I will try to finish both of these tonight, but I will work through lunch tomorrow if necessary (I think it probably is).

Today I had chinese school which was agonizingly boring. We had to copy many things down which I did very messily and realised it would be tested on. After, I went to scouts, and I became a leader of a mini group, which was a very big (and unwelcome) surprise because I was just a member of the mini group before and now I am an extremely unexperienced leader. I then went to the dentist to have my retainers fixed. Tonight, I will practise violin and finish up go lesson 1.

Today I got to play with sketchup during applied skills again, and this time, I actually drew a nice house. Of course, I didn't finish it yet. I don't think my house is nice enough for such a great program. After that, I went to science, where we had a science safety test, which was much easier than I thought. During english class, we tried to finish our storyboard, but most people were stressing out because they weren't finished (probably because they scheduled lunchtime as worktime but forgot it was friday, at least that was my case). Eventually, we persuaded our teacher to extend the deadline, and everyone relaxed. During lunch, I signed up for the service club, and found out that cross country meeting was next monday at 12:00. We read more about geography during socials class again, which was not as boring as last time. This weekend I plan to finish all my homework so I won't be as busy next week as I was this week.

Today during art, I drew a ladybug shell i found outside. It looked more like a windup mouse than a ladybug. After that, I handed in my p.e. form to my p.e. teacher, and we played handball. This time, I didn't score any points, instead I acted as defense, so I probably wasn't noticed as much. I still put away a goal (so eventually I would receive some participation marks). French was already pretty settled down, so we just read from the textbook. Math was very tedious, as usual, but thankfully, the time passed very quickly. After school, I went to badminton, but I didn't get in, so I was pretty disappointed. I'm not very good for competitions anyway, so I think I'll just join the badminton club. After that, I rushed to the dentist which closes at 6:00, and got my retainers, which I would not choose over braces. I will finish all middle years homework today, and maybe some of day 1 homework as well.

Today, I started off in applied skills, where I played with sketchup, and eventually drew part of a house. In science, we took notes on all the whmis symbols, and thankfully in the middle of class, I was phoned to go to the counsellor's office, where I received my grade 10 math provincial mark from last year, which was 98. I was very content opposed to the 88 from history I found out about a few days ago. During lunch, I took some book tests, and I realised I remembered much less of the books as I thought. Thankfully, I'm allowed to retest once if needed. After that, I went to english, and we spent the period matching words with definitions. In socials, we read about latitudes and longitudes of the globe. After school I had a orthodontal appointment where I had my braces removed, and I stayed in a state of much uncomfortableness since then. I have already finished my homework for tomorrow, and started on my middle years homework.

Today I missed art class for the grade 8 assembly, then went to p.e., where we played handball which was very fun. During lunch I went to the student council info session. After lunch I went to french, and then last period was math. I attended the second badminton tryouts, and did much better than last time, but there are still two more tryout days, in which many people will be cut. Later, I will finish middle years homework (due tomorrow) then work on art.

This morning I went early to hand in my field trip fees for english, then I rushed to my first class, applied skills. We watched the first go video, which was not nearly as "entertaining" as the get set videos. Then I went to science, where we got a tour around the labs, and the dangers of chemicals, gas, spills, and acids burning through our skin. During lunch time, we watched someone try to sell the candy he got from the cafeteria. After english, I signed up for three book tests, then went to socials with the wrong binder. Just now I found out my history mark which is 88, so I am extremely disappointed with myself mostly because I expected a higher mark. Today, I will try to finish all Middle Years homework.

Today I woke up to practice violin for my violin class early at 10:00. Surprisingly, although I had only come back from vacation for a week, the teacher wasn't especially frustrated with me. After lunch, I finished my homework and previewed some chinese. In the evening I watched the MTV Video Music Awards, and my favorite singer won all three awards she was nominated for :). I also just got ready for school tomorrow, remembering my money for the english field trip which is only available to 52 students out of the 59 there is in middle years

Today was Saturday, so I went to the first day of Chinese school of 08/09. We didn't do much, just wrote an essay and listened to the teacher talk. I met some of my old friends, and memorized the alphabet backwards with them for it was their homework in math class. After lunch, I was supposed to go to scouts, but thankfully there was no meeting today. Instead, I went to play tennis with my dad, which was equally tiring as going to scouts. This evening, I will finish middle years homework (check if I have finished first) and also finish art.

Today... I went to homeroom, which was boring like the other 2 homeroom days. Next was art, which was a little quiet but fun still. After, I went to P.E. where we ran a lap, got tired, then played handball. I didn't have my french stuff with me because I forgot that it was friday, but I still made it to class on time, though I was not early enough to get to my seat before someone stole my spot. I realised I couldn't borrow any books yet, so I decided to bring a Harry Potter book to English next class instead. Math was normal, and after school I visited my old school. I will start some Day 2 homework after this because it's due earlier.

Second day of high school... I was a bit nervous at first, knowing the whole day would be full of Middle Years classes, but relieved for remembering my gym strip for badminton tryouts. I was right about Middle Years classes though, because seeing all the homework during the first class (Applied Skills) really scared me :P. Good thing my friends were there to assure me there was a whole weekend to work on it. Also, I was reminded of all the "great fun" I had in elementary school with the "get set" program by the "get go" program, making me very excited for the end of school already. Although I really would've liked to get the good side of all my teachers, I was still a little shy so i didn't really say much, other than "umm there's someone at the door". I enjoyed reading some interesting quotes on some construction paper pasted to our right while I multi-tasked with listening to Mr. Olson (and hopefully I don't lose marks for admitting that), but I eventually decided to pay full attention to him for it was rather fun listening to Mr. Olson talk. After that, I went to science, and while we waited outside the door, I disgusted my friends by showing them live animals and critters preserved in jars. I actually disgusted myself once again during the process, and I confirmed my decision of the attendance of dissection club. When I entered the classroom, I was surprised that the teacher was female, because I was anticipating for a male from my instincts of last names. MS. Smedley gave us the normal talk we received in other classes, and gave us a student profile sheet to fill out, with a special square for us to draw our self portraits in (in which I am deciding to draw a pig). Lunchtime was not especially interesting, other than the fact we taught our friend how to close the lock to our locker, which failed until we decided to show her. English was fun, for we could use our imagination to describe ourselves in some very interesting words in a sheet of paper where we would write our names and an adjective starting with each letter of our name to describe ourselves (the activity probably has a name but I don't know of it). Ms. Greskiw also showed us some interesting "dress up" pictures of students in the past. We got lost going to Social Studies, but it was fun running around the hallway looking for the classroom anyway. Our class got a chance to get up and get to know each other with an activity to match names with descriptions such as "can juggle" or "can say hello or goodbye in 4 different languages". After school, I went to the badminton tryouts, and after a few badminton-free months, I feel safe to say that I did terribly badly in the beginning. What was nice was I got to say a few friendly words with a guy who I used to be horrible enemies with 4 years ago. When I got home, I looked at my agenda and realised that the homework load wasn't actually that bad, relieving a great deal of stress that I had in the morning. I plan to do all my computer-involved work first, then the work done by hand, then the tedious action of practising the violin which I very much wish to skip. Unfortunately that whim is not possible to be satisfied. Overall, I had a very nice day, making some new friends and handling some partially welcome and partially unwelcome stress as well.
